While our membership is as varied as the colors of the glazes we use, our common bond is a love of clay!
Who We Are
The Potters' Guild of Las Cruces was organized in June of 1981. We are a group of ceramic artists with a broad and varying range of experience and interests. We are potters, sculptors and jewelry makers, beginners to professional, including those who hand build vessels and those who prefer to throw on a wheel. We are also teachers, students and collectors of pottery. Most of our members reside in Dona Ana County in southern New Mexico, but some live as far away as Alamogordo, Silver City, Deming and even in El Paso, Texas.
Our Goals
The group's goals are:
- To provide a forum for learning and discussion
- To foster the education of the arts
- To organize workshops about clay
- To sponsor exhibitions and sales of our members' work
- To promote community service
